If Sasha could talk, this is what she would have to say: 10/15/2013 I was born on October 25, 1999 and was brought into this world with the help of Mother Superior and The Bishop as my mom and dad referred to them (Debbie and Bruce). My first memories were of pushing all my siblings out the way so I could get some of my mom’s milk and Bruce feeding me a piece of a banana each day. Then several weeks later, there they were…..my new mom and dad. My mom smiled at me while she held me and I nuzzled into my dad’s neck and just knew they were the right ones for me to be with. Sure enough, just around Christmas and just after my new mom’s birthday, I went to my new home. It was wonderful. I always was a princess where I would rest on the couch when my mom and dad were out and sleep on their bed. I never liked the cold so they cuddled a lot with me and would always tuck me in. I always loved having my long ears being rubbed and when I was young to roll over on my back and have my belly rubbed, too. I loved long hikes in the Open Space near our house. I loved the freedom of running up and down those hills. Funny thing, I didn’t like baths or rain, but loved to go to the beach. Quirky thing, I was. Life was good with my mom and dad who truly loved me, my sister, Rachael (now on her own) and two boys (mom and dad’s grandsons) who have liked playing with me, sort-of-friend, the cat Maggi, and my friends the Boston’s across the street. I think Nathan will miss me most. I was 4 when he was born and we’ve been good friends. In 2011, I had to endure a new puppy…my niece, Lucy. My half-brother Roger and his gal Ava had a litter of puppies on Oct. 7, 2011 and Lucy came home with my mom on her birthday, Dec. 2. It was sometimes good as she kept me moving, but sometimes she was a pain in the you-know-what! Oh well…I feel bad for our cat! Unfortunately, my time came to an end on a sunny afternoon just short of my 14th birthday. I got tired and my legs gave out. I went to sleep on my bed on the grass with my mom, dad and sister, Rachael holding me tight. I was at peace and will be waiting for them on the Rainbow Bridge. I always believed I was the luckiest girl in the whole world!
